FAITH AND RACISM:

HURTS AND HOPES AS CHINESE CHRISTIANS

Do you ever feel awkward being Chinese in the UK or Ireland? Sometimes we forget that we're a minority, and feel right at home with the people around us. But other times, we're afraid of what people might say or do to us because of our ethnicity. How should we think and respond when we come under attack because of our ethnicity? Should we fight for our rights, or does hope in the Kingdom that Jesus is building give us a better way to understand what "race" might mean to us today? Come hear from three Chinese-Christian leaders as they share about their own experiences, and the lessons they've learnt that might also help guide us towards peace and confidence in who God has made us to be.

HEY, REMEMBER CHURCH?

Let’s face it, we’re fairly forgetful people. Some of us can’t remember what we ate for lunch yesterday, and some of us have a hard time even remembering our age. Okay, maybe that's just us leaders. It’s been well over a year since we’ve been able to physically gather and we may have forgotten why physical church is so valuable and amazing. You’re definitely not alone if online church has worn you out and made you feel disengaged. Come and hear our panellists share their experiences of church and youth group, and what they love about the physical, gathered church.
