THE NEED

The goal and vision of “Youth ministry that lasts a lifetime” is youth who love and follow Jesus lifelong. It’s impossible to be a lifelong follower of Christ without having a firm foundation on the Word of God, but the question we’re all wondering is - how? How can we encourage our youth to cultivate a heart for God’s Word? We know that the Word of God is central to the Christian faith and Christian maturity. Yet it is often a struggle for us when we see that the youths are not engaged or interested in the Bible.

As leaders shaping the next generation, we are not left to our own resource. God’s living and active Word is sufficient to transform us from the inside out and bring life to those we are ministering to.

THE DAY

This training day will renew our commitment to Scripture as the living and enduring Word of God. Together we’ll explore how to interpret it faithfully, apply it wisely, and communicate it effectively to a generation hungry for truth but often deaf to its voice.

Through talks, practical workshops, and shared reflection, we’ll rediscover the joy and power of God’s Word — and how to help young people encounter it for themselves.

We appreciate our church contexts are different and that we struggle with different challenges and needs. However, we are also comforted by the fact that we are all united in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his Great Commission, and can rely on Him as our common source of strength and wisdom for our respective youth or student ministries. We do hope you can join us in sharing, learning and ultimately worshipping God together!
